Le Bal des Chaussettes

Another insight on the Parisian folk dancing scene. "Le Bal des Chaussettes" (The Socks' Ball Dance) was organized in Montreuil last January. It was preceded by a workshop dedicated to the physical contact and relation with the partner within these dances. A show by Boris Trouplin, mixing ecological stories, a questioning on the modern society and musical interludes with traditional instrument was also programmed.
This was a really good opportunity to question physical interaction during these balls and diving into a more personal photographic interpretation.
On a week end of workshop, some dancers could work on the physical contact aspect of dancing together.
A workshop on relations between dancers, the need to work the guiding and to connect with partners during the dance and to react one towards the other.

The evening starts with a show from Boris Trouplin, mixing regional instruments and ecologically oriented tales and thoughts on globalization. Partipants are welcomed to lie and relax to enjoy the moment.
